Default How much time do you spend editing Generals/Zerohour

I'm curious how much time the rest of you spend editing ini's... making models... working on textures for Generals/Zerohour...

Since my classes ended i've spent 12 hours a day making models adding commandsets... command buttons and making cameo's...

Just yesterday i added 12 structures and 20 units... I made and skinned 3 models and i made 32 cameo's...

Maybe i'm obsessed with finishing... I had the mapped images ini... commandbutton ini... commandset ini the vehicle ini... the textures folder... renx... w3D viewer and paintshop all open at the same time sort of like an assembly line...

I'm taking a small break today to talk to my girlfriend...

I dont technically edit Generals at all really, I leave it to the coders
When I'm not playing games, I'm making models. I dont like to think about just how much time of my life is leached away by modelling

The majority of the time I spend working on my projects is management and organization related. The larger the team, the more time is needed to be spent on that.

When I do get around to working on my stuff it is usually done in long blocks of time (between 4-12 hours in a row). I spent pretty much all of last may working on Blitz2; every day, 7-12 hours a day. I wouldn't advise anyone to work on something like that. Since after a while you get burnt out and, in my case go partially insane.

I have 2 jobs so it's usually only about 5 hours a day.

Didn't somebody post something like this thread a while ago... not sure, maybe.

Anyways, I spend around 5-6 hrs a day editing. I do some 2d art stuff, but mostly INI. And I leave the models to ther peeps

i spend on average about an hour a day modellin. it should pick up over the next few weeks as uni is over for the semester.

Considering the stupidly easy to edit nature of Generals, I leave it almost entirely to my staff, adding in about an hour a day on editing myself.

I deal with my "more serious" projects more often, which get up to and oftern over 24 hours of edit a week

Thanks... but i'm one of those people that believe if you want something done at all and done right you do it youself... I've seen to many projects get held up by one person not doing their part...

I think i have the same disorder Aircraftkiller the lead producer on renegade alert has...

Heh, you'll go insane with that mindset. There is also the fact that there are always other people out there who can do a better job than you at it. The only problem is finding those who'll help you out.

As far as "one person not doing their part", you have to keep an open mind...and constantly be on the lookout for new team members. I've had at least a dozen modelers help out with blitz2, yet only a handfull of them lasted longer than a month...and even fewer made more than a couple models. Every once and a while you get some really good team members though, that make it worth the effort...since they make your job easier.
