Well, if I'm not mistaken the technical does it... but when I looked at the technical code I didn't really find anything useful... am I missing somethin here or what? :/
The only way to cheat on it would be to use an acceptable aim delta with a fixed turret, but that only can really look good for about +/- 10 degrees or so.
Well, how does the technical do it? I'm pretty sure the technical does it because the gun is mounted right behind the cab... so if it turned all the way around the gunner would end up in the cab
This is for a gunner on top of a tank so it wouldn't have to rotate too far... so I might be able to use the acceptable aim delta
If you mean switching any of the axis so that the Z axis is instead the arc in which the turret moves thru, then no --> Generals always loads the axis pointing in the same direction.
hmmm... I was just thinking... since the gunner and the tank are to seperate objects... what if I sortof boxed the gunner in in RenX, and just left the area in front of him exposed... and then just hid the subobjects
would the ATTACK_NEEDS_LINE_OF_SIGHT kindof stop the turret from firing to the side?
there's probably some reason that this won't work though...
