Default problems with overlord coding

Well I have this tank ya see, and it builds this machine gun on top. Shows up, fires all that stuff. Problem is it does not rotate to target. It appears fixed mount. I increased the turret turn speed so I can tell it turning when I force fire.

Now I really just took the overlord gattling gun and changed the model. I also found the gattling doesn't even turn when placed on my tank.

Not much in the overlord code that controls the subobject. It's just a FIREPOINT bone. The rest is the OCL and new object ini

Also I find when the tank moves up terrain the new object keeps the same Z axis so it will lift off the tank or dissappear inside it.

Been trying to fix this prob for ages now. Can't find anything in the overlord gattling code that mine doesn't have. Can't find anything in the overlord code that mine doesn't have. Models have the same bones. I'm atta loss here.

Another minor problem is when the main barrel fires not only does the FX work but also what appears is the 4 pane suboject that makes up the effect. So something is working there and something isn't. I get both FX. Good one and the 4 pane subobject.

Please take a look at Avenger. there is ExtraPublicBone in its draw module.

well i dont have an answer for the first problem, but th efireFX problem, all you may need to do to fix the 4 pane subobject is to go back into max and open hte material setting for the object and set the shader blending mode to ADD.

I'll look a the extra public bone when I get home. But the fact that it maintains the same z axis makes no sense. FIREBONE is linked to the turret. The overlord code has no such xpubbone so can't see why that would be it.

the lifting apart can be solved by the overlordtankdraw.

That may also fix the no rotating turret prob also. Great!

(EDIT) Holy bujungas!, it freakin works. All because I had the wrong draw module. This thing has wasted so many of my hours. Thanks alot!
