Default Making a unit shoot sideway. Code question

hi all ! we made a mortar truck but the thing is that it should fire from a side...so the side of the truck should be aiming the enemy unit. Is that possible to code?

Please tell any suggestions ...

the gunship has it's own specialweaponupdate module that cant be used on other units unless they are used in the same super weapon....plus it uses a basic fire point nothing else so that is a total dead end....

Have you tried setting the default turret angle to say 90 & setting turret turn rate to zero?

There is little value in making a wish list, because Generals is a dead end for the moment. All effort is turned to BFME.

Unless I'm terribly wrongly informed, they aren't even scheduling any future patches...from a development point of view, the game is dead.
So realistically, you can forget about anything being added or changed to your liking in the future. Nothing prevents you from dreaming/wishing of course

eh ... doesn't BFME use the same engine? That would mean you could port a General game quite easily (with alot of work tho) - to the new engne?

...its like generals and ZH ... there is changes, but not like night and day

I think the changes will be more in-depth then the difference between Generals and ZH. ZH was nothing more then an expansion pack, so to say.

Although BFME still uses the same principles, it will have dumped a lot of the older ZH stuff and added much new stuff.
A lot of typical Generals behavior’s will probably be dumped, where other unknown new stuff will be added. The conditionstates will probably have been expanded a lot, to allow "emotional reactions" as they call it.

It will still use the same principles, but I fear a lot of the modules we now take for granted will no longer be available because it is a completely new game with a totally different environment.

remember EA only adds and removes things that THEY NEED for THAT GAME that they are making....if they dont directly need it than they wont leave it in and cut it out...that is just how selfish and non-modding frendly EA is...

oh well guess we are remaking it so that the mortar fires foward from behind....
