Default I just found a free 3D model of the NOD light tower!

While surfing Turbo Squid (great site) I ran into this:

[imgl:64b6abd125]http://files.turbosquid.com/Preview/Content_on_11_30_2002_07_20_32/Security_Tower.bmp45A7AD9E-A9AD-46DE-942E87B2DBF13BB4.bmpLarge.jpg[/imgl:64b6abd125]

The tower itself is only 116 polys! It's unskinned, but free. Just thought I'd share it.

Get it here:

I actually have a mod for TS installed wich gives you the lght tower as well as other stuff.
and the GDI also uses it in the first mission of the campaign.

It was used by both sides, especially in FS for missions, normally had search lights that would trigger alarms.

Yeah but they were kinda useless as buildable things. All they did was look around and do nothing. It would have been great IMO if, during night missions, your units would shoot slower/do less damage. But if a unit was spotted, all units would target that unit first, and get their normal ROF back.
