Default The .big hierarchy?..

I know that the files placed in the root folder of the game have higher priority then the ones in the .big files, but what about the .bigs themselves?.. Which .big file does the game read with higher priority?.. Does anyone know?.. Does the "0" before progen.big's name has anything to do with it's priority for the game?..

nope.
just put your units/textures/inis in their folders. Same subtree just without the "EA Games\Command and Conquer Generals\" bit. (ie just "Art\W3D\mytank.w3d")
then just put it in the generals install folder. Simple.

I know it, I just mean how does game know whether to read, say, weaponobjects.ini from inizh.big or from 0progen.big?..

I think he means enw as in not an original big file. I would imagine it reads the big files in alphabetical/numerical order which is why DZ put the 0 in front of the big file.

you need at least one 0 before its name to work, so i guess you're right, wothout that 0 (or 00) it doesnt works, but if you make a shortcut to the direct .big file it does works.
