Default Changing color of laser to match color of player?

I wonder if this is possible.
I was thinking of usind housecolor as the texture but I doubt that would do it.
Anyone have any more ideas?

Deezire only has it changing along with the faction not the player.
Anyone can change the color of a laser or particle but i want to findout how to get it to use the players color.

just remember that any tga texture used for housecolour needs a 'zhca_' prefix.

On the last model I checked, it uses HouseColor.tga but lasers use inner and outer color to specify their colors. I don't know if the game will recognize it and change the color but I will try once I get done redoing my computer.

Im pretty sure the textures named 'housecolor' are DDS, and used in conjunction with mesh objects in the W3d file also named 'housecolor'.This is the method used on structures and vehicles.

With infantry it is different, they are tga files with the 'zhca_' prefix, and do not require any special mesh naming.It goes purely on the alpha channel and the prefix.

BTW, if you are using Photoshop 7.0, then you must either downlaod the fixed tga pluging from adobe, or update your version to 7.1, or you will not be able to save tga alpha correctly.
