I have to agree.. especially when dealing with anything for the first time, the less people you get involved the better. It's hard enough to do something YOURSELF for the first time, but getting OTHERS to do it while dealing with your own inexperience and THEIRS is often a huge unsurmountable task. Motivating groups is something most people CAN'T do so the smaller the group the better.

Relying on your own skills and your ability to teach YOURSELF how to do things that you can't do as of yet is VERY important.

A small team (3-4) is alright, as long
as you know everyone and are all experienced

if you really need THAT much help, youll have to rely on freelancers, people who help you once in a while (just post what you want on a messagebaord, dont come with entire lists, just one thing at a time)

Modteams hardly ever work out, trust me, ive been there ... Working solo is the best thing, having someone to help you out is great, but modteams are poo, organisation sux, it just dunt work

1:Im not a complete newb. I can mod the basic ini files fairly well, but i cant model or skin and so i need help there. Also i am still learning how to put in new units so i needed someone to help there.

2:I have started and finished a mod for Half-Life, am working on one for Homeworld, and have modded every single last CnC and Red Alert game in existence.

3:No sorry guys, i dont have enough money to throw around for you. :drunk:

Now that sounds a bit better, Im always confused as to why people asking for help never state their own qualifications. I know I generally skip over people that show NO experience when the request help. It's like people want to hifde that they actually have a clue about things...

Unfortunatly I'm already on a mod team, otherwise I might have asked some more about your mod team
