Model problems:
Huge? - resize it in gmax
Moves sideways? - check the pivot points in gmax. they are probably not lined up right. red=forward, blue=up, green=left.
Doesn't fire right? - probably either not boned or bone pivot point is not lined up right. check above.
Code problems:
Huge? can also resize in code
Turret doesn't turn? make sure the name is right.
other:
Pink??? texture file is not in the right directory...
\Generals\Art\Textures\filename.tga
hope this helps

apply the skin to it in RenX, just naming things the same doesn't do shit.

make it a DDS. That will always be prefered by the engine. It may just have an issue with your TGA file.

If you changed the name of the skin file after it was sent to you then that would cause an issue. Re-open the file in RenX, reapply the skin, and the re-export the model again. Tank moving sideways may also be caused by the model not being aligned right in RenX. Everything must be facing to the right if you are looking at it from Top View.

is the whole tank pink, or can you still see the skin, but it has a pink tint to it?
if it's the second one the model needs to be exported as a w3d, then imported, then the skin must be re-applied, and then re-export it...
as far as dds goes save it with exactly the same name as the .tga, and apply the .tga, then delete the .tga afterwards
