ParticleEditor crash; HELP
hi!
I've installed all particle Editor files, started the editor and loaded the map.
Wonderfull! i can see all Generals particle animations!
but when i've chanched anything and press "go!", the game always chrashes...

If you're still crashing, find the "ReleaseCrashInfo.txt" that's somewhere in your Command and Conquer Generals Data folder, usually in your "My Documents" equivalent, and if it's Zero Hour that's crashing, then try the Zero Hour data folder, naturally.
That should give people the info that they need if you post it, althought it doesn't alway specify the exact error, grr.

Hmm, I think the particle editor you have is for a version of Generals that you don't have. One or the other is too new for the outdated piece of software. Check your Generals version, update to the newest if need be, and find the particle ed for the newest version, hopefully that'll sort it.

The Particle Editor is only ment for Generals 1.6, I think.
And your English is fine, much better than a few others I know. :lol:

After my knowledge the ParticleEditor is fpr ZH.
Hmm.... could be an old verion of my Particle Editor.
Because there are many in germany, they've downloaded the PE and it dont works.
Must be a link to an old version. thx, i download the newest, try it with ZH and then..... lets see

hm..... it still doesnt works....
ok, i can chanche something but when i press "go" nothing happens.. an when i load the current settings all keeps running as if i've never chanched something....
ahm, and before i forget, i use ZH, newest version

yes, this is what I mean, there's more to it than just 'Zero Hour' and 'Generals' - there are version. Upgrade to the LATEST version, and download a particle editor compatible with that :P
