Default need urgent help with OCLUpdate!

Okay, first, is it possible to give a building an OCL update and stop the timer commandset overiding the normal commandset? It's VERY important that I find some way of creating an occuring OCL out of building every so seconds, if this isn't possible is there another way?

I swear though, if I find out how to do this I will be able to give the trade secret of ALL trade secrets to share on this forum!

Well, I'll tell you what it is, but not how to do it yet, not until I fully get it.

Im on the verge of getting a proper CY code working, this code will make it possible to build beside freindly structures and also edit the range you can place them at.

Im also near to implementing the time and price of buildings before placement.

But I need an answer to creating a re-occuring OCL creation from a building, specifically this OCL Creation needs to stop when the building is destroyed or sold so it has to emit from the building and if it weren't for that stupid countdown commandset overide that comes with the OCLUpdate module I'd be taking the champaign out right now.

I've run into this problem before WarAddict... The only way round it I could find was to create an invisible object and sit it right in the middle of the structure. There are some modules (the names of which escape me) which can be used to destroy the invisible object if the 'parent' structure gets destroyed.

Yes it might be possible to treat the OCL as a drone code I believe.... cross your fingers Im close!

Can you be more specific as to what exactly you are trying to do... because IF I understand you I have created an object that utilizes OCLSpecialPower to fire a weapon every second... which could also be changed to create an object every second as well (or however the time you want it to be).
PS- What is the ConYard problem??

Okay, my problem is that I need a building to emit a poison field like object around itself until its dead or sold, it must do this automattically and from the moment it was created, so that leaves two basic methods, either create a short living 'poison field' every so seconds, letting it die out when the structure's gone, or create it permently and be destroyed when the structure is gone.

Got the code for that?

I have tried the drone code, Im close but I can't get it to dissapear after the structure is gone, got any ideas?

Look at the code for the bunkers in the Generals Challenge "Dr. Thrax" mission

The bunkers by your base all have a continually spawning toxin field unless captured or destoryed

I think its worth checking into
