Its done using a 2 level material with the basic texture as the base, and then the night texture on top with alpha enabled, very simular to how you see "reflective" models done but without all the extras. If you know your way around renx, its not hard to do this. Its done like this so changes can be made to the original skin without the need to edit the night skin as well, as well as add a "add" glow just like the muzzle flash you see on tanks. The night models are different from the rest, and can be found with a _N. They are called by a Night condition that is set by the map.
