sigh, no one bothers to do this...

download the gmax tutorials and do ALL of them. After that, practice a ton and experiment, when it comes to modelling 3D there is really no way to just 'pick it up one day and be good at it'

You also have to understand that Proclone went to school for this kind of stuff so he better be pretty damn good at it.

pfft I was good at it before I went to sckool :P

And you can't render things with Gmax/RenX you need a full version 3D rendering program for that.

Some of them have demos if you want to check them out though. I think you can get 3D Studio Max 6 off the discreet.com website for a 30 day trial. I forget though :P

u do those renders in 3ds Max 6...thats where i do mine. then get a crack for it and wolla, a free 1000$ program or w/e it costs.

heres how u do it-
-----------------------------

Q: How do I make WIP renders look nice?/What’s the best Way to present a WIP model?

A: When rendering WIP models, don’t use any reflective materials – they make it hard to see the surface of the object properly. The best way I’ve found is to use the default grey material and a skylight.
To set up a sky light, go to lights in the create panel, then skylight. Create one anywhere in the scene then click Rendering -> Advanced lighting… and select light tracer from the drop down list. The default light tracer settings should do.

If you want to show a wireframe version of your model on top of a shaded mesh select the object and click Edit -> Clone. Go into the material editor and create a new material, check the “wire” box under the rollout Shader Basic Parameters. If needs be, click the scale tool, then right click it to bring up the type-in box, scale the wire object up slightly.

You should be able to, but if in doubt export and import using a common format, such as *.dxf

Since you seem slow, maybe you aren't aware that suggesting the use of pirated software isn't something that's accepted on this forum.
