Default Models that open below ground?

'Lo guys

In my mod (hey... I finally got some moddlers, woo), the LC build their aircraft below ground... which is a slight problem, because AFAIK, you can't see below the ground-line

Unless...

Is there any way to get the building to deform the terrain below the factory so that it creates a "dip", like when you place normal structures it automatically flattens nearby terrain

No, but you can "cheat" by concealing where the planes actually come from, but still having it APPEAR as though they come from under the ground. Just because you can't build under the ground doesn't mean you can't create planes there AFAIK.

If you can't get below, then get above it!

Look on what they did with the tunnels : they artificially "added" ground to make it look as if the units come from underground.

I recon you can do a much subtiler modeling approach then what EA did on this.(larger surface, shallow slope, so it blends better in the terrain.

In my mod, Nod will have subterranian Hangars instead of helipads. Basically this is a GLA hole that only aircraft can go into. But I am wondering how to create the aircraft in the hole, or is there another way I should be looking at this?

BTW, the GLA hole will only be used in this fashion.

To create something inside something else you could use the overlord OCL logic for the upgrades.
