If you make the skins for Generals, it will work in GENERALS ONLY, same with ZH, sorry to break it to you.

OK, so I make changes to the skins for vanilla Generals and they only work for Gen. But the skins will work in ZH if I rename them later when I get ZH, right? Basically it's just about naming the skins right? Or is there more to it? I would guess that the ZH skins have different names, but that is probably all, right? I hope I wasnt confusing.

Yes, that post should be correct, just renaming stuff should work, but I'm not sure if since the ZH uses some of Generals' data that the skins wouldn't just carry over in the first place.

The modeling and skinning scheme is the same for both. You may use them for both. They are the same. Coding wise there are differences but your models will even work in Renegade which is what RenX is made for. TBFME will also use the same modeling schemes but incorporates higher polie counts.

SAGE engine already supports more polie than most comps do. Our average for Crisis Now is 1100 for vehicles. Screenies are still mostly in our forum cause I've been too busy to update and some skinning needs to be finished up. But they work fine at that polie level.

I'm being so typical of the Generals modding community, not sharing what we've already done. I love and appreciate the progress our mod has made. But reality, soon there wil be another game BFME, that will prob consume all my time.

Hopefully I'll get the Beta out before I immerse myself in the inevitable... if not it will be another mod that becomes open source

Shouldn't say that just got another model. The Iranian Zulfigar BMT. So I'll keep focusing....
