Default Adding new damage type

I want to add a new damage type. I tried to just edit armor.ini and weapon.ini but the game fails to start with these changes. What can I do?

Change it back. Damage Types are all hardcoded into the game and can't be added/changed, apart from damage percentages.

OK... I want to make Toxin Gamma upgrade also act like concrete piercing toxins. So I need two types of toxin one of them with 1% armor of buildings and another with 10% armor of structures... What can I do?

Try to re-use another (unused) damage type. You can't add new ones, so puzzle around with what you have.

My assumption:
It is tied to the waterobject, so that it can kill a unit the moment it touches the water...
