It is possible to make the aircraft carrier move to a place and then anchor itself in order to launch aircraft, but once in place it cannot be moved again otherwise the aircraft on deck fall into the sea. When you anchor it it turns into a building (and if you do this at the water's edge you can see the terrain change and get dented just like when you command a dozer to build on uneven terrain and the terrain flattens out).
The movable object is a vehicle with the model chassis defined as a turret with TurretArtAngle = 180 because the W3D model of the aircraft carrier is backwards. It was intended to move by EA, which is why in ParticleSystem.ini there are air carrier wake and prop wash particle systems to attach to it, but since the model is backwards, the whole thing will move backwards with the particle effects going forwards, looking ridiculous. I therefore made new particle effects for the movable version.
