Default Changing locomotors when damaged

I've created an unusual mech that flies using multiple boosters, but I want it to fall the ground and walk when its damaged. Is it possible to have it change its locomotor (damaged speed won't work because the HOVER, LAND, and WATER things are still enabled so it will look wierd for something to walk on water)

You can't... the engine was never designed to do something like that... you have to edit the source code to do that... try a different idea

That could work, but the mech would be unhittable.

No, it would be able to be hit, the Aurora is the only vehicle able to be "invincible", it's hard-coded into the Aurora.

Where do you keep coming up with the Aurora being hard coded? This is at least the second time you said it. It is not hard coded to be unhitable. It is only an object. It contains modules and behaviors all which can be applied to other objects.

Copy the Aurora code add your model, add whatever extras you want and it works. Where is this hard coded? If I'm wrong than I'm wrong and would like to know where.

I have an idea. You can make your mech like battle bus, changing into another unit when dies. To do it vice versa - changing into another unit when fully repaired, you can inspire from GLA Hole.

The only problem is experience points - but making the mech a robot (untrainable) may be a good idea depending on your mech's specification; otherwise this idea may not work.

There is no module in the game that combines the damagestate of an object with its locomotor.
The aurora locomotor trigger only works for the "attacking" status, but has no relation to its health status..

No can do..

Fleetcommand's idea is the closest thing you'll be able to get, including eperience and helath status problems...

The mod I'm making is for generals, not zh so no battle bus. Well I guess no flying. For those who would like a peek at my mod I have a website (not 100% done) here: http://www.freewebs.com/cnc-sl-milinea/
This is the old name, the new one is excruciatingly obvious.
