I read your post about WB picking up/not picking up errors and i wonder if thats the cause of my game crashing a lot of times.

I got these error messages but i don't know how to locate the problem:

Assertion Failure: Particle System HEROIC not found
Assertion Failure: FXList WEAPON not found
Assertion Failure: WEAPON WEAPON not found
Assertion Failure: WEAPON Template not found

Also is there a way to debug a mod from grammatical errors?

Thats pretty strange. It almost looks as though you've been playing around with game.dat with a hex editor. If you have, then reinstall the game or copy game.dat from the .cab file on the CD.

no, No, NO! Don't do that in the first place! As I always say, First things should be done with first. First, Double check the places of the INI files you changed for grammatical errors. Please don't tell me you have no record of it.

How well, if have no record of it... Heaven to Betsey, try to guess what causes these errors. For Example, search for the string "HEROIC" in the Particles INI files. You'll be having a hard time.

I have a rule of thumb. I run world builder since every edition to INI files, so that I can better remember what I've changed and what causes the assertion failure. But I keep track of my changes by exactly recording what I did every time with a rouge co-ordination of the INI file entry included.

What i am doing now is debugging the mod.

I started with a fresh copy of the INI file and i transfered the buggy mod files to another folder.

I then start to copy and paste the new changes, weapon by weapon, unit by unit, into the fresh copy and run WB.

WB picks up the error and since i just transfered just one section of code,it really easy to pick out the error.

I'm also arranging the codes into numbered sections and after i finish the mod i'm going to redo the ZH Weapons and Weapons Objects INI to make it easier for newbies to find what they are looking for by simply typing in a number in the "FIND" section of note/word pad and it will take you to that unit/weapon.

I did find LOTS of grammatical errors in the original ini and art files.

In the china files, the nuclear missile is spelled MISSLE...all of them.

That word is mispelled through out the entire file section of the game and in the art files.
