Generals Zero Hour 1.03 Patch
Welcome to the patch thread.
I've noticed a great number of fixes that should be made to almost every mod that is made for Generals. EA should have addressed these bugs in a patch but a rumer says there is no more patches. I want to make an archive of these bugs to help modders fix them in their mods, including myself.
If anybody knows a bug in Standard Generals Zero Hour 1.02, the way to reproduce it and the way to solve it, please feel free to post it here.

-Scud storm missiles hitting buildings directly don't do damage
-Avenger cant target aircraft directly
-King raptor doesn't get armor upgrade with countermeasures
-Airforce commanches has no point defense laser
-One of the american generals (Superweapon general I think) has useless chem suits upgrade (it does nothing)

-emperor does not gain subliminal messaging after the upgrade
-minigunners fire from there feet when engaging airborne targets and the weapon sounds like a gattling cannon not a minigun weapon
-the usa cargo plane rotors do not rotate when damaged
-scud storm can be used too cheat by force firing it when you select a scud storm and some units
-nuclear tanks explode but you don't hear any explosion
-fire base firing angle is totaly messed up
-when infantry get killed by a explosive weapon inside a fire base they some times remain flying in above the fire base for ever
-laser turrets use a different sound when firing on airborne targets
and i got some none bug isues
-Alpha aurora is way too powerfull and unballanced
-Airforce generals defence lasers fire too fast (stinger sites hardly hit his planes)
-Dr.thrax rocket weapons (with exception of the rocket buggy) are way too powerfull

- Supply stash + fortified structures upgrade bug affects newly build or rebuild (from hole) supply stashes. Supply gathering is significantly slowed down.
- Spectre gunship on level 1 has 1000 health. On level 2 and 3 it has 600 health.
- Bunkered battle bus can not attack buildings.
- Tank hunter TNT disappears if the unit that placed it is killed and the death animation finishes before the times expires.
- MiG missile damage type changes to explosive with black napalm upgrade.
- MiG reload time changes from 8 seconds to 2 seconds with black napalm or tactical nuke upgrade.
- Prince Kassad’s fake buildings can not be camouflaged.
- The sneak attack tunnel is instantly ready when it is killed in 1 hit during construction animation (aurora or bomb truck deal enough damage for this).
- Burton can knife attack planes on airfields instantly killing it.
- Strategy center bombardment cannon does not fire at units at a different elevation.
- Planes like the USA supply drop plane can be selected by using ctrl+left or ctrl+right. All planes have a few icons in their toolbar that can't be used but do match the counters of the actual abilities.
- Scud storms are immune to their own missiles.
- Nuke cannons sometimes fire two shells right after each other. Happens most of the time when the nuke cannon gets promoted.
- Only vehicles follow rally points after being repaired.
- China satellite hack 1 only works for command centers that where build before you purchase it. Any newly or rebuild command centers are not shown.
- The overlord does not reload properly. It kills a humvee in 3 shots. Then no matter how long you wait it will not reload that last shot. The next time you attack you will start with one shot then reload (can happen to other units too I guess).
- General Juhziz's Rocket Buggies losing the Red tinted explosion if you purchase the Rocket Buggy Upgrade.
- As Toxic or Demo general you can’t use rebel ambush if you capture a different GLA command center. Same goes for Nuke China not able to use the nuke bomber if you captured a different China command center (probably other combination will give a similar results).
- The Frenzy ability disappears from the China command center after it is upgraded with regular mines (goes for nuke and infantry).
- The Laser General's laser defence shoots a clip of 3 shots at ground units, but 4 at air units, and also 4 when it is assisting another defence.
- When a unit is ready at a war factory that is under attack and the open doors animations starts, the animation will reset if the building changes model/appearance (the building changes from looking normal to looking damaged).
- Airforce Tomahawks do not leave GLA salvage crates when they are destroyed.
- Burton can knife attack firebase defences.
- EMP patriots do not leave rangers when destroyed.
- Upgrading a GLA fake Command Center to a real Command Center while you do not own any other Command Centers will lock the game right before the upgrade will be complete (update: only goes for toxin and demo, reason are the upgrades granted at the start of a game).
- Nuke cannon neutron shells can clear out tunnels and hacker center.
- Elite comanche's do not have the red rocket trails when using rocket pods.
- Assault outpost has 4% healing/second bij default and stays at 4% with subliminal messaging unlike propaganda towers that have 1% / 2%.
- Avenger for Laser, Airforce and Superweapon General has a Crusader locomotor.
- Avenger for Laser, Airforce and Superweapon General has two laser turrets. One points straigt forward while the other one points up in a 45 degree angle. The one pointing up is the actual turret.

Hmm, I see quite a few bugs from my own list there... True to my reputation as bug man I'll post what I found here:
- The laser turret's anti-air clip size doesn't match the anti-ground one.
- Missile Defender's Laser Lock switches Damage Type from Infantry_Missile to Armor_Piercing which bypasses the extra resistance against Infantry_Missile damage these units' armour has (Dragon Tank & Toxin Truck). This kind of defeats the purpose of those units.
- Units fire at infantry that is dying to radiation, fire or toxin. They are already dead, but often my units feel the need to unload a couple of rounds into them, which can be pretty messy if the dying infantry is among my units.
- Due to a duplicate piece of code, the Crusader tank receives the Composite Armor upgrade TWICE (hit points go from 480 to 680). Composite Armor gives Crusader 200 and Paladin 100 extra hit points, which is not a 25% bonus as advertised. Should be 480+120=600 for Crusader and 500+125=625 for Paladin.
- When the Missile Defenders inside a Hum-Vee shoot a target that is REALLY close, the explosion from the rockets kills the Hum-Vee. Doesn't happen with RPG Troopers or Tank Hunters.
- The pieces that fly off destroyed Overlords can be attacked by anti-air units.
- Marauder Tanks with two scrap upgrades only fire ONE shot, then wait a while before they fire another two. They don't start off firing two, like other two-shooter units such as Overlords do.

- Funky graphical issues with construction cranes on some China and America structures when built at night
- Game exploit where SCUD Storm could be ordered to fire before it is charged or constructed (also affects
many base defense structures)
- Dragon Tank where firewall is not continuous with Black Napalm upgrade
- Emperor Tanks turn into Overlords when destroyed - also the image bug when they are damaged
- Generals Challenge doesnt let you play against Fai or Juhziz
- In-game music soundtrack bug - when all tracks have been played once, the game goes silent
- Infantry dont use correct language-specific voices when killed by Anthrax Gamma
- Many objects are missing correct icons for upgrades
- Wrong tooltip on Supply Centers and Supply Stash - they are sold for 25% of their initial cost,
not 50% as it states
- Spy Drone does not benefit from Drone Armor upgrade
- Paladin Tank missing upgrade icon for Hellfire Drone
- Skinning issue on Missile Defender - uses Chinas color scheme rather than USAs
- Sound is wrong for some USA Generals when a Firebase is selected
- AI bug where computer controlled players do not acquire Laser Generals' Sentry Drone as a
threat or a target in many circumstances
- Spectre Gunship has less health at Level 2 and Level 3 than it does at Level 1
- Avenger doesnt receive Composite Armor upgrade
- Avenger doesnt leave tread marks like all other vehicles
- Avenger cannot manually target airborne objects
- Avenger reveals bottom left corner of map when created
- Visual problems when a Bomb Truck disguises as an Avenger (partly introduced in 1.01 patch)
- Some American Supply Centers dont display icon with Supply Lines upgrade
- Funky graphical glitch when Cold Fusion Reactor is built at night time
- Sentry Drone doesnt get Drone Armor Upgrade like all other drones
- Firebase incorrect fire-angle issue
- USA Laser General;-
- Chinooks dont gain improved supply capacity with Supply Lines upgrade
- Rangers dont receive Chem Suit armor with the relevant upgrade

- GLA Palace has wrong images when garrisoned at night (fixed by ZH)
- China Speaker Towers cant normoally be upgraded with Mines like all other Chinese structures
- The SW General gets no experience for aircraft that are killed by an EMP Patriot
- Missing music on the credits screen
- ZH is missing the sound effects when money increases/decreases

I am really amazed how careless EA was when they did the 3 Generals for each faction. I mean half of the upgrades don't even work for some of them. Argh! complete chaos.
