i readed someone's idea about make housecolor ring around units,so i made one for my MBT70 model.how do you think about it?
and,how can i make a part of a .W3D do not use shadow volume?(while other parts still use shadow volume)because i don't want the housecolor ring has shadow.
Personally, I think the shadow on the Housecolor looks quite cool - I never really liked the Horde bonus texture - it looked too flat for the 3d environment.
Nice tanks ravage, now how do i do the opposite, i want to remove all those horde bonuses under the china units as well as those wrenches and red heal crosses on the units because it does not look realistic.
I found the file that has the wrench and red heal crosses and if i cut them out,they will appear as black wrenches and heal crosses.
If i make them transparent,then a huge white square will appaer over the units.
Interesting, it would be quite useful for realism mods where they could display the team colour by a team colour ring rather then coloured parts of the vehicle.
Its a plane with an alpha channel texture... and it casts a shadow... Weird. It should be off by default. Just in case make sure the shadow option is unchecked under W3D Tools in RenX.
