Default Delayed Exhaust

I want an exhaust which will be deleted by using an timer...
for example it must be deleted after 2 sec ...
i just thought about using upgrades but the delayedupgrade behaviour from the moduleguide is not working in ZH...
i will use it to create an realistic tomahawk missile because they will only use the afterburner if they rise up in the sky...

In the particlesystem for that exhaust, set it to delete after 2 seconds. In it's exhaust FXLiust add the new particlesystem, and have the original delayed 2 seconds.

I didn't know you can delay particle effects...how?

juLLe, why would you want to delete the exhaust from the tomahawk after 2 seconds?

That would [and this is just my opinion] make it look unrealistic because tomahawks leave an incredible amount of exhaust smoke, sometimes even covering 1/3 of a missile cruiser.

Your TH does look good though. Were you able to get it to slightly wobble and curve in mid air before going to its target?

What would be cool is to have it take off,up and at a slight angle with the exhaust that you have now.

Then have a second bigger exhaust and afterburner flare effect ignite and the TH would instantly accelerate and take off to its target

ok for delay you use InitialDelay = 0.00 0.00 in the Psys.ini the numbers are in miliseconds and if the second number is larger then the first the time will vary between them, NOW if you want the exhaust system to go away totaly after 2 seconds Lifetime = 20.00 20.00 should do the job.....

it would be only realistic!
the tomahawk raises up in the sky by using its afterbruner...
then the afterburner will be deleted from the TH and it flys in a straight line to the target!
