it should add housecolor over the top of that part of the texture blending it with the colour underneath.

first what i did was edditing the skin w/o downloading the plugin (i use PS 7.0), thus the housecolor turn white. Then i downloaded the plugin, and the housecolor is red instead of white, and stays that way. Then i followed trex's instructions by making a new alpha. and then I edited the new alpha so the black colors only covers the reds. That's it!

Are you remembering that tga textures need to be named "zhca_xxxxxxx" to show the alpha as housecolour?

Are you saving the .tga skin with 32bit color depth? if not that may be it.

Wow, this is interesting :/

Ok, he has the zhca prefix; the alpha layer is there, it has black in the correct part, & is named correctly; there is red where he wants the housecolor; & even in 24 bit it's not showing up correctly in game.

Weird. I'll have to try some stuff later tonite but maybe you guys can figure something out in the mean time.

if you send it to me ill take a look.As far as I know though it should be 32 bit.I seem to recall having troubles before with anything else.

24 bit = 8 green, 8 red, 8 blue,
32 bit = 8 green, 8 red, 8 blue, 8 alpha
