Default Adding secret granted upgrades

I need some help. :|
I want an upgrade which will be researched secretly as soon as a science is obtained.
Is this possible and if so, how can I do it ?

A read all their tutorials and I am totaly confused ?

Last few hours I was trying to write scripts but I have too many problems and I canīt get into SDI forum for help.

I donīt know any basic rules about scripts : What is the connection betwen Multi and Skirmish scripts ? Which one should I edit to solve my problem ? Is it possible to make unit which needs upgrade to be build ? How should I import scripts into game ? :/

I have tried few things already but whatever I did in WB script editor it had no effect to the game. :cry:
Is there any scripter who could help me ? :/

This isn't done with scripts, it's done in code. I would assume it would be under prerequisites, something like "Upgrade = xxx", but I haven't got the code on this computer to check so don't hold me to it

Well, you could just block out the button, right? Or, if worst comes to worst, just change the commandset of the building that builds the unit to include the unit when upgrade is purchased (I know this can be done; there must be a better way, however, but I haven't looked into it :P)

Take a look at the Pathfinder code, that's a similar idea, only using Generals Ability as opposed to Upgrade.

All right, I have solved it.
I have added these things to Command Button of my unit :

Options = NEED_UPGRADE
Upgrade = Upgrade_myupg.


How simple :lol:
