Does the turret insist on firing at a 90-degree angle all the time or is it happy to fire straight ahead if the turret is already pointing in the direction you wish to fire?

If the add on turret is to fire to the right, the add on turret points left and fires right (through itself). If the add on turret is to fire left, the add on turret points and fires left (no problem there) If the add on turret fires up (north???) the add on turret points to the right and fires up (at a 90 degree angle) If the add on turret is to fire down (south) it points to left and fires down (at a 90 degree angle)

Anyway, i hope this answers your question. If u dont understand it i cant blame u.

I think the problem lies again in the pivot point. When you clicked the align to world button I'm sure you saw the 3 arrows green, blue, and red. Red needs to point to the front of the model, green to the left, and blue straight up.

Even though you aligned to world you may still find the colored arrows aren't pointing in the right direction. You can use the rotate button to make them correct. That should solve your pivot alignment problem. If not you can email the model to me hostile@crisisnow.com and I'll take a look.

The reason is that you need to edit the weapon and make the acceptableDeltaAim = something - hehe - I think it is 20 but I'm not sure about that.

Yeah, it was the pivot points. All the arrows were points off to the left. So the game thought that's where it needs to be when it fires. Should work now. I fixed it.

I don't understand how that didn't help. Your pivots points were off as you described. After I fixed them I find it hard to believe it still did it. I will have to check the file I sent you when I get out of class. I'm not licked yet. :P

I do not believe it is the pivots. I diagnosed what is happening. Let's say the main turret turns 90 degrees from its idle position. If the add on turret was stationary, it too would turn 90 degrees. But, since the add on turret also turns to attack, it will move an additional 90 degrees, just as the main turret, and altogether turn 180 degrees from its idle position, making it fire at angles.

However, I have not been able to solve the problem.
