Default Final thoughts on Generals Challenge

Hello, I am adding my own General and I have 1 final question.

When I put Campaign = CHALLENGE_7 for example in ChallengeMode.INI, the game crashes once I selected my General and started playing missions with him. What gives? The challnge is already there in Campaign.INI, I'm just re-using it.

The reason I named the topic Final thoughts is because, I am writing a smal guide explaining how to add your own general in Generals Challenge, and we wil get no more questions concerning the issue.

speaking from experience, writing a tutorial does not eliminate questions on the issue. You just dont have to answer it every time.

I agree killakanz, but as you said, it will eliminate the easy questions we all grew tired of answering...

Anyways, I figured out my problem and now finishing up the tutorial.
Another important comment/question... We all know that you can't have GeneralPersonas 12, only 0-11. But at the start of ChallengeMode.INI, it says this:
"A general must exist for 0 through NUM_GENERALS, as defined in ChallengeGenerals.cpp.
; These are mapped to buttons representing geographical locations (see ChallengeMode.wnd)."

Is this file ChallengeGenerals.cpp hardcoded or what? It seems that is where you define the number of possible Generals.

I would imagine that it is hardcoded...

the .cpp file would be a c++ source file so I guess they added that comment before compiling the game
