WAVE files not working?
Ive extracted about 400 WAVE files so I can hear all the units, but I found that these WAVE files are not valid.
Yet, the rest of the 1600 files ARE valid, and they are upgrades, buildings, civilians, generals voices and more. Any idea why does this occurs?
Thanks for help

Well I kinda had trouble playing the sounds in AudioZH.big, and AudioEnglishZH.big too if I'm not mistaken. When I play them with XCC mixer, the sounds are all messed up and there's a lot of crackling though them.

Yaah... I never tried to extract them because I asumed they are broken. I guess they're not.
I suggest playing the "good" sounds from XCC Mixer, that way you don't hav to deal with a bunch of WAVE files...

I'm extracting the files and then hear them, but I have here those 400 files not working.
I found that about 40%-50% of all ZH sounds are from generals. It's the Generals Challange that keeps it from 70%-80%. Therefore, I am now using the Generals BIG files to complete everything, but new upgrades, infantry (I think I've done with them, except sabatouer, as it looks like) and vehicles are the ones that I can't open.
I did, however, crack the code to each file, so I know what I'm missing. The problem is, EA cut so much, you just have to do same thing on each thing (just say testing 1, testing 2 etc) until you find out the correct one.
What's that XCC mixer anyway?
Edit:
Chrizz, what you mean by "The sounds must be 1 channel ''mono'' and than they will work just use some sounds editors"?

well you have stereo sounds and mono sound stereo sounds have more channels than mono sound which only have one and with sound editors he means you should try looking for a wave editing program GoldWave would be a good example

XCC Mixer is a handy utility used to extract files from Generals and all the previous CnC's. It lets you view images, INI's, hear sounds, and extract every file from all the CnC games.
Very inforamative and useful program, I suggest you get it.
