Default A10 to the Airfield

Several months ago I found a mod that added the A10 to the standard airfield. Anyone know where that mod may exist?

Otherwise, I could use some help on how to do that myself.

look in generalsfiles.com for zh reborn version 4, I remember the USAF guy having A-10 in his airfield.

This has been done in loads of mods, to many to count. I wouldnt recommend doing this myself, as it makes the game WAY unballanced, and makes A10 strike almost useless.

BTW, I would agree with Alpha, Nox.

I tried 4 A-10s and they blew up a command center, fusion reactor and some men before flying back to base... I think a barracks too... anyway they r too storng, so limit their build.

All I know is that using the mod I am right now - they suck. Two can't even survive trying to take out 1 gattling gun.

But this isn't the whole picture guys. Adding the A10 isn't about beefing up the USA side, because there's a large elimination process going on as well.

But this brings about the question fantasy or reality. I don't know how many of you know the sheer power of the A10, but it's near unbelievable. During Desert Storm, and I don't know what all the A10 squadrons numered, but in the course of that rather short campaign, they destroyed over 900 battle tanks, over 900 pieces of artillery and over 1100 medium to light armored vehicles. These aircraft are truly frightening.

While I was in the military, I got the opportunity to see what the Cobra could do to a target. At that time, it was astonishingly impressive. I also was a Vulcan mechanic - the 20mm gattling gun. I saw a live fire session while in Germany. I also heard the stories of their use on infantry in wooded areas. There's not a civilian land clearing company that can match speed and effeciancy of the Vulcan.

Anyways. you have to remember that when an A10 takes off it's armed with enough munitions to destroy 19 Tanks. Now, were you to direct that firepwoer against a building...well, it's not hard to conclude the results.

I guess someone could raise the health level of buildings to compesate, or reduce the number of missiles each plane fires. There's several options without deciding to just nix a magnificent piece of machinery.

The A-10 (using the Reborn V4) has Point Defense Laser System (it was USAF's plane), was destructive, unlimited buildings, and a lot of health! Try this one and then code it as you see as good btw, V5 deleted the A-10, since there is no longer USAF general.... But man, even 1 can take out a gattling tank :P I think a gattling cannon too, never tried though.

Believe it or not, the F16 can actually carry a bigger payload than an A10, and is a far more competant 'fighter' as Im sure you are aware(I dont think Ive ever seen any A10 stunt crews lol)

What makes the a10 so devastating(to land targets) is its GAU-8 30mm cannon.
