No!
you are very wrong!
I dont care if someone asks me a question, if Phoib comes to me on MSN or ICQ and asks, hey how did you do such and so.
I would be glad to answer, cause i KNOW he can do it himself.
Bit you didnt contribute anything to the community, we dont know what you can do, a community is build around the sharing and searching for solutions with everyone togheter.
you come around and say, hey explain this to me, i havent looked at it, but it dont care, you have to help me, otherwise you are lame, and wont help noobs and will kill the community.
if someone does some research on this, and comes to me with a question, hey i got so far with this, but iam stuck with the commandbutton.ini or whatever, i will be glad to help, cause i see you tried to figure it out yourself. Same with schoolwork, a teacher will never (atleast here they wont) help me with a Programming assignment, when i cant show anything i have done already!
So next time, have a bit more respect yourself, research what you wanna use yourself, try it out, and then if it doesnt work, come ask questions here, cause asking question isnt wrong, but asking for complete solutions is!

So what does this all have to do with a Generals menu??
Anyways, seems this is growing to be a bigger issue than it even should be.
Yes, I agree that ppl should experiment themselves, but I also agree that (especially with errors), ppl should help others. Errors are a pain in the ass.
Sure, an error that occurs only during a particular action (in a map) is something that someone can easily figure out themselves (just try several other things, like disable the code you currently have for it, import existing code and edit ONE bit each try. As soon as you get an error, you know what is causing it, seeing as it can only be one change that is causing it), but ppl have to learn and like to let ppl teach it to them.
I myself often experiment slowly by editing one bit at a time and testing the effects. I always use existing bits to edit, before I even attempt to create my own stuff, just because editing is easier when you have little knowledge.
Anyways, I hope this issue is now OVER...ugghhh...
((btw, that was my old mod-side surfacing...I know I'm not a mod here, but it's still annoying to see ppl make a big issue of something somone already excused himself for))

Simple way to shut you up fighting...
We are all n00b's to editing Generals its a totaly new game engine and the new ini files are very advanced to follow.
Trust me ive been modding C&C for years but Generals takes time to read and learn how the ini files work together.
You cant just read 1 file an know everythin like you could with RA2/YR or even TS...
They are all linked together and need to be understood

Uhm my apoligies DeeZire geuss i was the one who wasn't looking too good
Sorry.....
one last question you say:
Quote:
There are a few buttons etc coded into the game which arent in the menus, but not many, such as the 'go to the keyboard controls menu' button which is disabled on the Options menu. Theres also some buttons which are labelled as 'HIDDEN' in the Status field. Deleting the HIDDEN comment usually yields some results as the button or whatever will usually appear and be functional.

Buzzz...
errr... Can't-Work-Too-Hard-Me-Big-Noob...
Did anyone managed to make it work?
And can anybody pleeaase submit me the ini files that he edited?
Another question. Can you choose which skills you will get in each level?
And one last question (i'm annoying, don't I?) will the big Generals mod that you're workin' on will be so hard to install? :tard:
That's it for now...
