Default Can unit upgrades change cost and build time as well?

Just wondering... It would be nice. For instance, M1 Abrams -> M1A2 Abrams. M1A2 costs $400 more and 4 more seconds...

But what's the code that goes into the unit's ini? That's what I'm trying to get at here... or does the upgrade occur at the factory?... I'm confused @_@

You can use the CostModifierUpgrade that the Tech Refinery uses to make things cheaper/more expensive.

its easyer to make the M1A2 a new unit (complete new code) with different builttime and cost and then make a new buildbutton for that new unit and upgrade the factory with a new commandset that has the new button instead of the old button.
this way you wont have to do any extra weaponupgrades and such. (I'm assuming the M1A2 is better because else it would be a really crappy "upgrade")

Is it possible to change it to a direct value, instead of a percentage? Like, $300, instead of 30%, for a tank that costs $1000?

Hahaha! This is an amusing, but unwanted effect of the following code:

Behavior = CostModifierUpgrade ModuleTag_05
TriggeredBy = Upgrade_M1A2Abrams
EffectKindOf = VEHICLE
Percentage = +10%
End

Every time I build an Abrams now, the cost for all of my units goes up by 10%. Not just the Abrams, EVERY UNIT COSTS 10% MORE FOR EVERY M1A2 I BUILD. Ghey.

Give the Abrams a unique KindOf which no other unit uses. Then change the EffectKindOf to whatever that unique KindOf was.

Just go with the new object. There's not much else you can do really.
