Default Aquatica : New Naval Mod by SGP

Aquatica

A Total-Conversion mod for SAGEEBG (SAGE Engine Based Games) Developement by SGP

Leader, Mapper and Semi Modeller -Tiberian Moon

After many years of increased global warming the Polar Icecaps finally melted thus turning the vast majority of the world into an aquatic wasteland barren of all terrestrial life except on a few regions to survive, the Sierra Nevadas, Himalayas and the Alps. After a century of slow recuperation by the inhabitants of those regions had the need for imperialism, using technology from the former regions inhabitants the regions soon divided, the Sierrans and Alpaitians soon developed an alliance upon the rememberance of the previous civiliazations and the fact that they both are smaller than the Himalayans. war was upon them

The main focus of this mod is to add a plethora of naval units to sageebg becuase the current mods for general and zero hour with the exception of Energy mod and CNC pirates (i worked on both, quit pirates though, many maps on energy are made by me, including polynesia ) and why i really wanna do this mod is to improve my modelling skills, and hopefully learn some basic coding

game play will be very diffrent from all mods i can think of, the main reason is becuase its new, heres how it works, the only building you have is the oil refinery which builds oiltankers and is the dropoff poit for oil, your resource, the building that produces your buildings is actually a huge ship, additionally if that gets blown up after all your refinderies do, you lose as it counts as a structure, units to be included are submarines, destroters aircraft carriers (figured out, wont be ra2 style sorry) hovercrafts and other naval units. you will have a choice from two sides too, the Nevedaian-Alp compact and the Himalayans.

The main problem with most naval units sofar is how they react to land, but since there wont be anyland it will be fixed, then you might say "so the mao will be all water" yes, but the water will be clear which means it will have coral reefs, canyons sharks and many other objects to brighten up the atmosphere

Nice! Very compelling and original idea and storyline. But I think that it would benefit better by having some small islands on the map where you can get extra resources...cause all water is just gonna be a boring... I understan that there's gonna be canyons and cliffs and so on, but still.

Might I offer my help as a coder?

there will be small archipeligos, but no big islands, basically, nothing big enough to mess up the ships, maybe some other things could be added, like floating cities or something, but maps wont all look like on big water, every map should have a distinctive look to it

Only one structure and the rest is mobile? That's certainly an interesting concept! I like it!
