weel I think the code basicly tells you what it is, which also shows a disadvantage of this method: the unit needs to be a salvager to get the upgrade, so the SALVAGER Kind_of needs to added to the unit. wich wil make crates spawn when enemies are killed ....

btw I would comment out all other things than weaponchance

but with this method ya cannot switch between the set !

I dont need to delete the upgrade; the plan has been chanegd to accommodate. And the upgrade is actually for an armour and weapon upgrade, just I haven't got round to removing the other stuff - I was just trying to get the thing to work, and it was easier to test if it also gave money

Cheers for the KindOf - but surely if I simply don't give any other units a CreateCrateOnDie module ( or whatever its name is ), then crates wont spawn when enemies are killed.

ARGH it still won't play. It would seem that you can only have one type of salvager - is this correct? I have in my KindOf: SALVAGER WEAPON_SALVAGER ARMOR_SALVAGER, however it only recognises the armour upgrade.

However, if I remove ARMOR_SALVAGER, then the weapon upgrades fine. I have tried creating two crates, but it would seem that units may only have one type of salvage ...

indeed, if nothing drops a crate your fine.

by looking at some GLA units I would have to agree that they can probably only have 1 salvager type :/
however ... if you link each button to a crateupgrade + normal upgrade you could do the weapons and armor at the same time. shouldnt be hard. just set the upgrade to spawn an OCL and have a trigger module for the weapons on that same upgrade.

hmm, I was thinking that wasn't possible, but actually it probably is.

Gas Mask: Armorset & Weaponset
Body Armour: Armorset & Locomotor

So the Armorset could use the crate and the others could be upgrades
