'Lo guys

I've just made a little program for Waraddict and his TFTW mod

It uses DotNet though

So I just need to gauge how many of you have DotNet v1.1.4322 installed

If you don't know, just click this link (in Internet Explorer):

http://www.w3bdevil.com/misc/info.asp

Scroll down to "HTTP_USER_AGENT"

If it says ".Net CLR" or "DotNet CLR" then you've got DotNet, it may appear once or twice (you may have DotNet 2.0 installed, for example)

You have DotNet 1.0 if this appears:

Code:
Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; .NET CLR 1.0.3705)
You have DotNet 1.1 if this appears:

Code:
Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322)
You have DotNet 2.0 if this appears:

Code:
Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; .NET CLR 2.0.40607)
Once you've found out, just put yourself down on the poll, kthxbye

Just to side off any confusion, Im just the coder, Skulking Ferrit's the mod leader.

It's looking like we'll have a new full version of TFTW, which will come with the latest update, an installer and the launcher. We will also have the update (in installer form) and a launcher available seperately but I would recommend that when we have the updated full version available that you re-download TFTW.

Let me stress though, that if you find the thought of redownloading TFTW a bit discouraging, just download the update.

A final note, don't redownload TFTW yet, we will post news on our site http://tftw.cnc-source.com when you can.

Also, if it happens you don't have dotnet installed and you would prefer not to install it, we will have an updated vbs file which requires no editing available to do the job instead.

Immo: Perhaps because you don't appreciate what DotNet is.

The DotNet Framework is just a bunch of DLLs added to a system to allow abstract MSIL programs to execute. Contrary to popular belief, it has nothing to do with XML Web Services, XAML, or Spyware.

It is anything BUT meaningless, thanks to DotNet RAD has become even quicker.

When DotNet is installed, it doesn't affect the performance of a PC in the slightest. In fact, it replaces some existing libraries with updated ones, that often outperform the originals.

Hence why DotNet is going to be included with Windows XP SP3
