Default I've gone open-source....

Seeming as the "help wanted" ads never really attract any attention, I thought I'd do away with the concept of "hiring people2

...Of course, I'll keep my existing members, having pernament staff is always a good thing (maintenance and all that)

So basicaly, PlanetEarth is now open-source, I'm still debating whether to go with SourceForge, VisualSourceSafe, or develop my own CVS/CCS

I manage a modification for C&C:Generals - Zero Hour

This mod is called "PlanetEarth"

It has been under production for the past 6 months now

We've gotten virtually no-where, even with 4 guys

So I've decided to make the mod "open-source"

This means that anyone can see, access, download, edit, change, and otherwise modify the mod's assets

...Whenever they feel like it

I hope that this will result in a better mod overall

Mods for the SAGE engine are essentially always open source. Anyone can open your ini code, edit your texture files and import your w3d files. I would laugh my ass off endlessly if your mod was hosted by source forge. I suppose you could release what you've done so far, but it doesn't look like much if anything. :/

We've got waay more, only we've never released it

I've just created my SourceForge account, I hope this works out in the long-term

Ease off the caps, AOLboi

...Other mods don't give you access to things like texture sources (*.psd), 3D Model originals (*.gmax and *.3ds) and other things, only the raw output

Besides, people who make modifications to mods hardly ever see their work put back into the mod now, do they?
