Default Building Placement Rotation

You now how when you place a building, you can rotate it before you place it? What I want to do is create icrements of rotation. How can this be done?

Also, is it possible to create an invisible grid in generals so buildings "snap" to it like in Gmax?

I don't think that's possible. You can edit the original structure rotation all you want, but that's about it as far as I know.

The Interface could have been much better. As soon as you take your finger off the left mouse button, it places it. They shoulda had it to where you hold down the left CTRL key for rotation...

Why? that would just create much confusion... not really, bad when battles are raging in your base, holding the ctrl key is the last thing on your mind.

I've always wanted half of that too. If building rotation could be done in increments, like 45 degrees per... ctrl+left-arrow-key, [or whatever], it'd be really nice for us people who like to make cool looking bases.

A grid on the maps, however, would not be all that great; that was one of my first favorite things about Generals, the placement freedom.

E:BFD has a mucg better building rotation system.
You hold the mouse button to rotates the structure, BUT it dodn't place when you let go after rotating.
