Default Derelict Studios announces Iron Curtain!

We at Derelict Studios are proud to unveil our latest project, Iron Curtain, a mod that brings back good old Red Alert in the SAGE engine!

Being in the works for over a year, and with little teasers released for the past few months, Iron Curtain is now so far progressed, that we are comfortable in showing it to the public AND announcing that the internal beta is underway, meaning a release in a couple of weeks!

Its nice but there are now 2 mods in progress of Ra and IC i know this a whole time ago but is it now official? the mammoth tank gots a very nice skin. but try to keep using standard units a limit

3 ? :tard: your mod immo's mod and whats the other? that a ra2 styled one

i mean the mammoth tank and the scud luncher you reskinnned but i like the mammoth skin its nice

Very nice models, DS certainly does have some very talented modellers. My only quam is the use of the Generals Maps. It would be really nice to see TC's make their own textures and models and make their own maps. There is just something not right about having this total conversion of Red Alert on a Generals Backdrop.

O... The Scud launcher is replaced now. We'll have new news about it.

See CNCDen. A new mod just got announced this friday.

And Admiral, the Allied Intelligence Briefing shots were actually taken on the First Come First Serve map

It maybe from a map that's been made for the mod, but it's still the same Generals/ZH textures and civlian buildings and other objects. In my opinion there's always a lot of emphasis placed on the units you build but not enough on the environment that surrounds it.

I know it's a lot more work and sometimes seen as unneccessary but for me, it just makes something stand out that little bit more and give it a touch of class when they've gone that extra little step. I know it's only at an internal beta stage, but for me, a release should be the full polished version of a mod. You expect if from a full game, and so you should aim to achieve it yourselves as well.

Just my thoughts.

But Phoib there is one problem for your and your team Regen whas faster with there process so whats you goal to make this mod to? to rank up DS?
or what? i dont see a goal in it i can start an ra1 mod to an rushed it out in my own but i still prefer Regen cuz its the first ra1 styled mod and they dont have much skins but there models are great! same like i stopped my TS mod for Gen reason is ------- ppl thinks are better than me and so proof it he and they DONT proofed it so now im laugging a lot. so Phoib tell me what yoouur goal is whit this mod? :/ :drunk:

I actually got the idea for this mod on Lowland 2003. Way before Regen.

It just had a low spot on my priority list.

Besides, the fact that we announced it today doesnt mean it was started today.

All models are finished. Maps are finished. Just polishing up before release.
