Not strictly so; it is, generally speaking, a macroscopic change in the value of a variable ( assuming the upper-case use ). Therefore "AcceptableAimDelta" could quite easily refer to a change in the acceptable aim. This, clearly, does not have to be an angle.
Oh, and I avoid Pure like the plague; I'm an AI man, and hence study neural networks and other Discrete Mathematical modelling. Therefore I'm not one to know too much about common associations in Vector algebra and the like.

Delta is just the letter D in Greek. And they used it because it means Difference. Simple as that.

A little technical I think, but I stand corrected. In general languge though, a delta is a kinda v shape, probably from the greek letter delta, which is in its capital form a Triangle shape, and a kinda upside-down L (a pointy, v tyoe thing) in lower case. NEWay, the guys who wrote gens didn't tend to use too much mathematical jargon.
