DXT5 (4 bit interpolated alpha) - Good for gradients and continuous variations, not good for sharp edges.

lol DXT5 got best quality textures i tested it all and space i never waste hehe :lol:

I beleive he is talking about filesize, not UV real estate.If you are saving an alpha channel on things that dont use alpha, then you are wasting space and hardware resources.
