Default power plants and ...

Just a few quick questions...
How can the power output be changed for the powerplants for USA and China?

And - how could I add the red guard to the infantry general? - they only have mini gunner and tank hunter.

Underneath the design parameters for the power plant you will see two lines

Energy Production =
EnergyBonus =

Its the energy production you want.
You will find that in the factionbuilding.ini file

To add it, you need to add a the RedGuardBuild button to the Infantry General commandset. I don't have the ini's in front of me so I can't remember exact names, but thats the general idea.

If it appears greyed out, there is probably a prerequisite in the RedGuard object that needs killing, as the Barracks may be different to the Infantry General's Barracks ( I assume it is for it to have a different commandset ).

I recommend reading tutorials before posting here; these issues are simple ones that could be easily worked out with a bit of time, tutorial reading ( GenDev is a good place to start ) and common sense.

By changing the power output will I have to edit the strings so it will show that it gives x amount of power? And the same with cost.

Use a CSF editor - the strings file is generals.csf which is probably in INIZH but I can't remember.

Well , if the missing data pertains to something like this eg :

Object : AmericaWarFactory

Than you open csf editor , and choose the menu item EDIT / FIND (SEARCH)

enter exactly the way it is eg :OBJECT:AmericaWarFactory

It will buzz you off to a section that has OBJECT strings all over and it is there that you edit or change the exsisting string.

Sometimes , if you have made a unit , you need to make these up new. other times , you simply change the one you are modding.
