Thanks for the info. The aircraft is now much easier to select
with PICKBOX. I'm still trying to get the tilted rotor blade to
work properly. Either I align normals and stuff up the
animation or just leave unaligned. The heli seems to work
just fine unaligned ingame, though its a bit wobbly.

The commanche simply has it rotor blades linked to the rotor hub which is linked to the chassis.The hubs animation rotates in relation to its parent bone.

You could also animate the blades tilting as the chopper starts or stops moving, triggered by conditionstate.

I'll leave conditionstates to you keyOp Sounds a bit
hard for me rite now. Anyway I've had a look at the
comanche model and the blades aren't aligned to world.
So I guess its OK to have unaligned meshes?

Well I'm quite happy with my heli rite now. It's
a large transport copter with roomy space for tanks
and all. Hopefully I can get it upgradable with fireports
or even more space. Here's a pic of progress so far
using stock textures:



Still missing I guess is the shadows of the blades. I used
Alpha Blend but still no shadow. Any ideas?

Tick 'Shadw' under Geometry Options in the W3d Export Settings.

Hmm tried that but still no shadow. The blades are just
a copy of the comanche's btw so there should be no
problem?

Without having your scene, I cannot tell what is going wrong.It should work with that option checked.
