Help with new plane
Hi everyone! I'm new to Gen modding am abit stuck with
my first unit. I'm replacing the Raptor with a new aircraft,
but now everytime it fires the rockets completely miss the
target. I'm only replacing the model, so the INIs and every
thing else still unchanged. Any help? Thanks.

Make sure your bones are all correct , and also , make sure that you align to world all of the model , this may be the issue.

Thanks it seems that I missed a couple of aligns in my model.
Aiming is much better now. However I can't seem to get
PICKBOX to work. I had a look at the Raptor model and made
one big box around the plane and named it PICKBOX. I guess
this is to make the plane easier to select in the game?

Yeah PICKBOX is just an extra piece of the model that does nothing. If you export it right (with the AABox option) you shouldn't see it ingame. But the game uses the model to determine where you can click to select something. So a pickbox just makes the model bigger, and therefore easier to select.

Immo , how come this 'box' is not visible to the eyes when i open up the humvee model for example?
Or is just a case of it is hidden and im too moronic to unhide it (although i swear when you import a model , nothing is hidden)

No it's just on some models. Most of them don't have it. It's only on models that are hard to select due to their size or speed. E.g. infantry and aircraft (jets).

Thanks for the info Immoman and goblinsleez.
Yes I'm making an aircraft rite now so a PICKBOX might make the
unit easier to select. Also, I noticed that with other planes ie. the
Stealth fighter you only have to click around the vicinity of the
model to select the unit. But with my plane you have to click right
on the model :/ I've added a PICKBOX around the model but
in the W3D option I didn't tick the export geometry. Hmm maybe
I should?
Anyhow, I have another issue with animating a tilted rotor. I want
to make this aircraft with slightly sloped rotors, but everytime
I align the model to world the animation gets distorted (really2
stuffed). I see that the comanche also has sloped rotor, but
importing the W3Ds don't show how its done. Hmm...

Well , i dunno if it matches this problem or not , but i did notice that there is actually a object for rotor blades , maybe you need to modify these , or something , hehe , beyond me though , I have never done a chopper.

Export the pickbox as any other model, except mark off the AABox option just below the 'Export Geometry' and 'Export Transform' options.
