Default Locomotor Problem

I have a unit that has a locomotor upgrade and I want it to have a new particle effect after being upgraded (like a thruster for instance) but I don't know what to type. Help please!!!

Try module tag ModelConditionUpgrade (used in gla building inis or internet center)
This allow you to change model or add particle effect after an upgrade.

Problem is I don't think it works in regular generals.

oh i know a way you could also use the conditionstate weaponset upgrade even tho it does not realy have one but it should work deezire (and some other people not sure who else) used that to get the old alpha crusader to hover

Either try the replace object code (like gla become real building) or just do what retnuh said... worst that will happen is that you'll get another release crash info file :LOL:

i'm 100% sure my methode should work with the regulair generals

i used it too in the good old days when i was still learning to code and the hover Crusader was my first unit i implanted

in that case you have a problem but the hope is not gone yet

you could make it so that when you buy the upgrade an invissable salvage crate is spawned onto the the unit giving a salvage upgrade and thus a new conditionstate

an other and easier option would be to simply add a overlord style object that only ads some bones with the effect your want attached to it
