Default Pretty renders... I've nearly got the hang, but need help!

Hey guys,

I'm trying to create renders for some models and I've come across a problem...

The HOUSECOLOR parts show up with what seems to be random colourings on them (see links below)

Render #1 & Render #2

I'm using 3D Studio max 6 but my knowledge isn't that great so, please, any help would be greatly appreciated.

house colour cant be defined out of the game... are you just rendering the w3d files?? because they will show the colour they were created as.

I tried changing the colour of the objects in 3ds max but it didn't affect the colour they were displayed as.

I've done a load of renders now and every time the HOUSECOLOR part shows in a different colour...

You need to give it a material colour. Mesh colour wont make much difference to it in the render because the housecolor parts had a material assigned to them which are not present in your scene, so it makes up a random colour.
Press M, click on the grey colour block beside Diffuse, make it blue and assign to the housecolor object using the button that looks like a ball with an arrow pointing to a box.

Hey Killakanz,

Thanks a lot mate, you've helped me get it sorted

I no longer have to worry about the danger of the HOUSECOLOR on my tanks being pink.
