Default help with unit code

Hi,
I'm in the process of creating a "Dr. Who" mod for zh, and I need some help with a unit. More specifically, it's the TARDIS from Dr. Who. I have two problems with its movement:

1. I was wondering if it was possible to animate transparency? or code it ingame to go transparent/reappear?

2. I have been trying to make it so the animation plays when the tardis starts/stops moving. So far ive been using transition states between moving and stopped, hoping that the game would wait until it has finished playing before moving. Unfortunately the game starts playing the start animation for a split second, then it moves, and plays the end animation.

So far i have got the Daleks, Dalek Shuttle, TARDIS, almost done the "Special Weapons Dalek" (need to skin, then add in code) and I have also modified the shell map. Once my website has been updated for the mod, and probably moved somewhere else (my 128k upload isnt really good enough), I will release more details.
