Default Skins acting weird...

ok, i was just fooling around and i was board, so i exported the AmericaInfantryOfficer's skin via my final big editor. I then opened it in paint and colored in pokadots cyan and red. When i look at the officer with my final big, he has the pokadots, but when i look at it while im playing a game, all his clothes are black and white so it looks like he's in a snow suit...?

Perhaps there is something going on with the texture? A change in the Alpha Channel in the texture that is used for remappable colors? Just a plain screw up in the coding?

I mean, what else did you change?

dunno its just strange...the only things i changed were to make him be buildable and have a automatic pistol...didnt really change his appearance other than the skin.

Try opening the skin with a proper image editing program, like paintshop or photoshop, edit and safe, see if it works then.

well, im afraid i have neither...and besides... when i looked at it from paint....it looked fine except the blue dots I PUT ON THERE. But on the game they just dont show...dunno y.


Ihave other skin problems also, i made this crusader in RENX and exported it. It has the groves and skin of the regular crusader, however it also has this annoying dim pink and green tone to it.

the pink and green is because you have to reapply the skin drag it onto the model and it should be fixed (that part neway)

the infantry... im just confused

oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooo but i kinda suck at skinning and the killasmods website aint working right on my comp so...im in trouble a bit...
