Default Could be a silly question???

If you extract the ini file with the finalbig it unpacks it to ini files in its own directory data/ini
my question is this once you have edited the ini files can they be repacked to there orginal file???? if so which program would you use many thanks

well, to pack it back into a .big file...actually...all you need is the finalbig you used to extract it! You just take all the files in the INI folder, add them using ctrl + a, and when they ask you the directory question after you clicked open, just say Data/INI/[whatever the file is goes here] and cut out everything before the Data part...

That wouldn't really make much sense though if he used another program like XCC to extract the stuff.

I would highly recommend that you not repackage any of the original BIG files with anything from your mod. Doing so might force you to reinstall your game. If you must, create a new BIG file (and prepend '00' to the filename so it receives a higher priority than the original BIG files) and place all your mod resources in there.

yea, commie dog is right, if you gonna make your mod, dont call it the exact same name as the files already built into the game, name it the same name as your mod; thats the best way....you can check out my Hostile Attack mod at

www.freewebs.com/hostile-attack/downloads.htm

for an example...
