Default .gmax to .3ds converter
I am looking for a converter from GMAX to 3ds Max to do some modeling. Does anyone know where to find one?

a convertor does not exist BUT u can convert the model 2 W3d then import it into 3dsmax by using the w3d importer for Gmax (it works for 3dsmax aswell)
