Default Victor Charlie in need of modders and news

The VC team has been hard at work, modeling most of the NVA side, there are still some models to be done, but that won't take much time. These models were all done in one night, now what we need to do is unwrap them and using my crappy skills, texture them. Be sure to check the forums to see the models textured.

We would also like to point out that we still need help, mostly coders and texture artists to help spread the workload. We could also use mappers too, if you have any skills and if you have any previous work to show don't be shy to register at our forums and PM me.

Since 1960 the ZSU-57-2 had been standard equipment throughout the Warsaw Pact countries and was exported to North Vietnam where it saw service in 1972 and again in 1973. Whilst the North Vietnamese used the vehicle for mobile convoy defence against roving American fighter-bombers, and occasionally used it against ground targets, its primary role was the defence of PAVN armored units. Several batteries of ZSU-57-2s were attached to the 201st and 202nd Armored Regiments where, following Soviet practice, they served in air defence batteries in an armored regiment.

The T-54 was the result of adding the D-10 100mm gun to the T-44 hull to produce a new medium tank capable of holding it’s own on the battlefield. In order to accommodate the D-10T 100mm gun, it was necessary to design a new turret and carry out extensive modifications to the hull of the T-44. By adding armoured fillets at the mid-section of the T-44 hull, it was possible to expand the turret ring diameter sufficiently to accommodate the larger weapon. When the new turret and gun assembly were fitted to a modified T-44M hull, the resulting vehicle was designated T-54. The T-54 entered active service in 1949 and at the time was the most advanced tank of its class in the world.

The ubiquitous PT-76 reconnaissance vehicle was introduced in 1952 and whilst it resembles a tank in all conventional aspects: that is, it has a fully enclosed turret-mounted gun and is fully tracked, its role is not that of a battle tank, but is strictly for scouting. In the Soviet Army it was used solely in reconnaissance companies and battalions and not in the Ground Forces tank battalions.

The M551 Sheridan was developed to provide the US Army with a light armored reconnaissance vehicle with heavy firepower. The main armament consists of an 152mm M81 gun/missile launcher capable of firing conventional ammunition and the MGM-51 Shillelagh antitank missile (20 conventional rounds and 8 missiles). Due to problems with the gun-tube-launched antitank missile, the Sheridan was not fielded widely throughout the Army.

The BTR-60 armored personnel carrier, the first in the line of Russian 8-wheeled APCs, was developed in the late 1950s to replace the BTR-152 (6x6) APC and was first seen in public in 1961. It was continuously improved throughout the 1960s culminating in the production of the BTR-60PB, and was subsequently replaced in production by the similar BTR-70 (8x8).

The 122mm 40-tube multiple launch rocket system Grad (Hail), with a firing range of up to 20 km, was introduced into operational service with the Russian Army in 1963 [and initially designated in the West as the M1964]. The BM-21 is unquestionably the world’s most widely used MRL. The successful use of the Grad system in local conflicts of various intensity for three decades led many countries to develop similar systems. The launcher with supporting equipment is referred to as the complex 9K51. This 40-round launcher has four tiers of ten tubes mounted on the chassis of a truck.

The design of the MiG-17 was undertaken to correct the deficiencies that the earlier MiG-15 had at higher speeds. It was the first Soviet fighter to have an afterburning engine, the Klimov VK-1.

The MiG-21F is a short-range day fighter-interceptor and the first major production version of the popular MiG-21 series. It is but one of many versions of this aircraft that have served in the air arms of many nations around the world.

First off I'm sorry for the great lack of updates, but I've been really busy with tests and so on. Well I passed my tests and am now in what would be probably be the third year of high school in the USA. Well we know what comes after you pass your tests, so basically that kinda drained me for a couple of days and I did little to no work on the mod. After that my friend showed me CS with the UWC3 mod, which I find quite fun to play(If anybody cares, I play on the Dumb clan public servers, level 15 max).

Also the lack of staff in the texture department, model department and code department has made the mod go even slower so basically we are steaming forward with the pace of a dead gazelle.

So we are looking for new staff, and if you are interested drop by at our forums and make a post.

And well here's the redone F-4, model made by me, texture made by me:
