Default New Mod Needs Staff

Hi there everyone. Today I ploudly present you a new Command And Conquer Generals Zero Hour modification named Real War Mod.
Real War Mod is a full-featured game mod for Command And Conquer Generals Zero Hour which stakes on total realism and cinematic beauty of the war actions.

Development of the mod started more than 1 year ago, and at recent time I had such kind of results:
1) General features include a new playable side - Russian Federation (Russia), removed Generals sides. Now you cannot play any of the generals' factions or the GLA faction. Faction list now includes only the USA, China and the RF.

2) New gameplay features include tons of new upgrades, units and special abilities. The gameplay has been very seriously remade towards realism of war actions. Now tanks explode when they are hit by 2 rounds, infantry are no match for tanks unless they are using antitank grenades or antitank missiles. Jets are able to develop great speed during their attacks on ground units.
Infantry are able to plant antipersonnel/antitank mines, tanks can fire smoke grenade launcher, and artillery does have 3 types of munitions.
As for new units, we have created about 40 new ones. We also plan to create 30 or more new units.

3) New graphics is now able to amaze even an experienced gamer. New explosions, tracers and smoke do create an impression of a real gun fired, real missile launched or real rocket exploded. New graphics pack also include about 50 new ground textures, about 80 new qualitative 3d models with textures, and reskinned old factions' models.

4) New AI is more resistable to the player, because it now uses all new abilities and upgrades, build new units and behaves very intelligently. As for me, I often lose skirmish match (my APM equals 200).

5) I didn't ever mention some more features that affect gameplay. Thay are: fog (not fog of war) which appears to reduce units' vision radius, difference between types of maps which takes great part in the gameplay, over 50 new maps and even more!

But that is only the beginning. At present moment I am working on some detailed gameplay and graphics appearance of the mod. Thus, I need more people to help me in creating the mod, because now we work only in pair with my tester.
I need:
1) at least 2 modellers/texturers that have to know GMax or 3DSMax, they must also know basic modelling;
2) 1 mapperman that could create exclusive maps for the Real War Mod.

hey alexart , nice features but somehow the pix dont work :/ oh its because u added a coma after the jpg the explosions look nice

THEY DO WORK REMOVE THE , after the JPG and u cant expect any one to join in 1 day

the screenshots look awesome too...and the russian sounds cool...lol...even tho i dont even know one word of it!...lol...

Can you show us a unit list? Even if it will be subject to change in the future, it's ok, just show us a unit list is possible, atleast for China...

1. Ok, I'll post some units' descriptions here.
2. The mod is under development since June 2004 so I know a basic concept and have lots of explosions =)
3. The file size of the mod installer will be about 250 mb after the release, but now it's only 140 mb =)

Well, let me start posting the units' descriptions.

Of course, we have 3 unit types: infantry, vehicles and aircraft. They are divided into several subtypes like that:
Infantry:
1) simple infantry like rangers/red guards (and russian Private infantry) they are machinegunners and capable fo creating some personal defences like trenches
2) antitank infantry (missile guys or guys with antitank rifles). They are: china antitank rifleman, usa missile defender, and russian antitank rifleman
3) sappers/engineers that can plant or disarm mines, build field defences like stationary machineguns, etc.
4) antiaircraft infantry includes USA missile defender (capable of firing both anittank and antiair Stinger missiles), russian antiair infantry armed with portable antiaircraft missile system, and a chinese missile guy (we haven't developed his specification yet)
5) hero - Burton, Black Lotus or russian one (not developed yet)
Vehicles:
1) light vehicles like hummer or other lightarmored jeep. They can usually transport infantry
2) armored troop-carrier like chinese Troop Crawler or russian BTR-90 vehicle. This is an assault transport, and can transport up to 15 infantrymen
3) light tanks include USA Crusader, China Speedmaster (specification not developed yet), and russian BMP-4 Fighting Vehicle.
4) possibly there'll be a subclass named Armoured Personal Carrier (or just APC) that would provide fire support and carry a few infantrymen
5) medium or main battle tanks are: USA M1A2 Abrams, russian T-90 and chinese Type 98 MBT (that replaced Battlemaster)
6) heavy tanks are: Paladin, Black Eagle (Russia) and soem chinese that is not developed yet
7) there'll be some antiaircraft vehicles too. They are: Russian Tunguska-M1, american Avenger (or maybe other one) and chinese gattling tank
8) there'll be more vehicles, but I won't enumerate them here because they are under development =)
Aircraft:
1) fighters like russian Mig-29 or later version, UAS F-16 Falcon and China Mig-31
2) shock (or attack) aircraft as China J-10, Russia Su-33 and USA F-22 Raptor
3) bombers are: Russia Su-47 (Black Eagle), USA Aurora, and maybe some chinese one
4) helicopters could also be divided into subtypes, but I won't do that here. I'll just enumerate them: Russia Ka-52 Alligator, USA Boeing Sikorsky RAH-66 Comanche, USA McDonnel Douglas AH-64 Apache, USA Littlebird, USA Chinook, some russian transport and more chinese choppers (under hard development =))

Well, that is a general list of units included in the mod.
