I just combined both tools, nothing more.
yes, with a high number of w3d models it becomes much work when you must give them new materials... and especially the submaterials make me sick. Then I must cut the whole model into the meshes and reskin these... could be easier to handle.

@ vinkx
the pics with the US Airfiled are the point where it was made with multipass materials; a texture called "lakedusk.tga" as background and then a foreground texture with alpha channel support. but that's "even" easier to change than these fu***** submaterials.
